CAS Advocacy Surveys and Initiatives

  • Syllabus Archive Feedback

CAS Student Government is looking to put together a course syllabus archive to help students guide their choices when choosing classes. By gathering feedback from students about their past courses, we hope to give insight into course expectations, financial burden, and overall learning experience. We are looking to see what the student body thinks of this initiative, and what more they might want out of the initiative. We kindly ask you to fill out this survey to improve the lives of students!

  • Syllabus Archive Submission

CAS Advocacy is looking to put together a course syllabus archive to help students guide their choices when choosing classes. By gathering syllabi from students, we hope to collect a variety of syllabi from many of the diverse courses at BU, which can then be released as a resource to students. If you have more than one syllabi to submit, please fill out this form for EACH SYLLABUS. Thank you for contributing to the Syllabus Archive!

  • Accessibility of BU CAS Main Building

This survey seeks to gather feedback on the physical accessibility of the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) main building at Boston University. Your responses will help identify strengths and areas for improvement.

  • MyBU Mobile

MyBU Mobile is a student-designed app that brings all your essential Boston University tools together — including your class schedule, registration, billing, shuttle tracking, and campus notifications. It’s designed to make navigating student life faster, easier, and more accessible. The app will sync with existing BU systems so you can check your schedule, pay bills, and see campus updates all in one place. It will also send optional push notifications for important deadlines, safety alerts, and shuttle updates. This app is being built by students, for students. Your feedback helps shape its features and design — so we can make MyBU Mobile work better for everyone.

  • Student Representation on BU Board of Trustees

The Boston University Board of Trustees is the university’s highest governing body, responsible for overseeing major decisions such as the school’s budget, policies, leadership appointments (including the President), and long-term strategy. The Board plays a key role in shaping BU’s direction and priorities. How would you feel about having student representation on the BU Board of Trustees?

  • BU Class & Professor Insights

CAS Advocacy is building a new, BU-specific platform where students can anonymously review classes and professors, finally giving students a reliable, centralized place to learn from each other’s academic experiences. This short survey helps us understand how students currently choose courses, what information you're missing, and how we can build a resource that actually supports your academic success. It should take under 5 minutes and will directly shape the platform’s features. All responses are anonymous.

  • Help Bring Wellness Into the Classroom

This initiative called “Wellness in the Curriculum” aims to make mental health and wellbeing support a natural part of every CAS student’s academic experience. Our goal is simple: Add a Wellness Syllabus Insert to every CAS class, so students always have quick access to BU wellness resources. Encourage professors to include short mindful or creative breaks during long lectures to help reduce stress and improve focus. Your feedback will help shape how CAS supports student wellbeing inside the classroom. The survey takes less than 3 minutes, thank you for sharing your voice and helping us build a healthier, more balanced academic culture!
