Major(s): Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Mielat is a junior at Boston University majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She is involved in a variety of activities outside of academics, including Sisters United, BU Maps, and CAS Student Government. Beyond these roles, she enjoys spending time with friends and exploring the city. After graduation, Mielat hopes to pursue opportunities that combine her interests in science, community engagement, and creativity. This could include work in research, public health, or a role that helps make STEM more accessible and inclusive!

Samantha is a junior from Missouri, majoring in Neuroscience. This year, she will serve as the Executive Vice President of the CAS Student Government and lead the Advocacy Committee. Outside of student government, Sam is a member of Beta Psi Omega, conducts cognitive research at the VA, and serves on the e-board of BU Prevent. In her free time, she also enjoys running, singing, and eating good food.

Temilade is a junior majoring in Biology and comes from a small town on Long Island. Aside from StuGov, she serves as the Co-Chair of Public Relations for the Nigerian Student Association and works at Pardee Library. When Temi is not studying or working, she enjoys reading, baking, and going for long walks around Boston. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school to pursue her M.D.

Minor: Deaf Studies

Giana is a senior majoring in Sociology with a minor in Deaf Studies. Along with StuGov, she serves in leadership roles for Students for Reproductive Freedom and the Undergraduate Sociology Association. When not on campus, she spends her time watching hockey, reading non-fiction, and hanging out with her friends and her cat. Giana hopes to continue her education after graduation by getting a Master’s in Criminal Justice.

Major(s): Economics and Political Science
Graduation Year: 2027
Helen is pursuing her BA in both Economics and Political Science. Besides her role in the College of Arts and Sciences Student Government, she is part of several pre-law organizations and serves on her sorority’s executive board. She enjoys going for walks around Boston and visiting cute coffee shops. After graduating, Helen plans on getting a Master’s degree in either Public Policy or Political Science.

Simon Anderson

Simon Anderson serves as the advisor to the College of Arts and Sciences Student Government. Simon grew up in New Jersey and is a two-time BU alum, earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in high-school math education. After graduating he worked in BU Residence Life and BU’s College of Engineering before starting in CAS. Outside of the office you can find Simon chasing his toddler, racing marathons, and listening to punk rock.
